I realize that I have been a little M.I.A. lately and I can't tell you where the last month has gone. Between soccer games, cub scouts, road trips and school, life seems to have flown by recently. We had parent teacher conferences for the boys and they are doing awesome! Garret has straight A's and Galen had all A's except for a B in math. They have both started to venture out into the neighborhood and have started to play with kids from school. It took them a while to break out of their shells, but better late than never. The girls reached the 5 month mark this month and it is so bittersweet. This is by far the most fun I've had with them as they develop their little personalities and explore all the new stuff their world has to offer. It is true what they say, it really is a treat to see the world through the eyes of a child. While all this has been great, I admit that it makes me sad that they are almost 1/2 a year old. These last few months have gone by so quickly and I both look forward to and dread the day that they turn 1. I will be a blubbering fool! A couple weekends ago, I had the bright idea to go visit Aunt Kristen and Uncle Jason with the girls, by myself. Why I ever thought this was a good idea, I don't know. Instead of taking 6 hrs., it took 8 1/2. Once we got there, we had an amazing weekend, but I don't know that I will attempt anything like this by myself again for a looonnng time. With the beautiful weather changes we have been having, we have also been spending a lot of time outside. This past weekend, our neighborhood had a field day and fall festival. Then, no Sunday, we visited the arboretum with my mom and dad and kyle. It was a wonderful day all around and we FINALLY got a family picture of the six of us. When we got home, the guys had a little halloween cookie decorating contest and, personally, I think they should go into business! :) So, that is kind of a quick overview of what we have been up to recently. Hopefully, I'll be able to update a little more often in the future!
