Here is Landrie when we first went outside...happy...smiling...wound free
And here is what she looked like when we came in...
Say it with me now..."Aw, poor baby!" This picture really doesn't do the wound justice because it looked far worse in person. As we were walking in the house, Landrie tripped on a rug and clocked her forehead on the door frame. In the 2 seconds it took me to pick her up off the ground, this lump had formed and I seriously thought it was going to split open. She didn't cry too much and after I gave her some motrin and cuddled on the couch, she calmed down. She wouldn't let me ice it at all, so there was no helping the swelling there! A little over an hour later the swelling had gone down quite a bit but it was definitely becoming a darker shade of purple
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't end up with black eyes to go along with her black goose egg since that can sometimes happen. The boys weren't home when Landrie fell, but when they cam home and saw what happened they were both so sweet...they are actually probably why she felt better ;). Both of them rubbed her head softly and gave her a kiss. Galen asked "Are you okay baby?" They are so sweet it makes me cry! Here's hoping tomorrow will be pain free!
