First Day of School (a couple days late)

Monday was the boys first day back to school and the third first day of school that we have had together.  I guess the third times the charm because this year seemed to go smoother than any other, for me at least.  I didn't have any prexisting expectations in my head like I did in years before.  I did not end up making it to the gym bright and early that morning like I had planned and accomplished last year.  What I did manage to do was have a wonderful and stress free first day of school and I think we can all agree that there is nothing more one could wish for on the first day! Looking back, it is no wonder I was so stressed out the first year with two new babies and my first ever experience being "Mommy" on the first day of school.  Last year was a little better, but Lord knows I was still sleep deprived from the lack of sleep that Her Royal Highness Ella was making possible.  This year I just felt a head of the game and like I was an old pro by now (it may or may not have anything to do with my new coffee maker that I've been wanting FOREVER!) I even had lunched packed the night before, now that is an accomplishment! ha!  The boys seemed to be ready to get back into the much welcomed routine that comes with the school year.  So far they seem to like their teachers and things have been good! Can you believe that Garret is in his last year of elementary school and Galen is in the middle of his middle school life in 7th grade?! I mean really, when did this happen? If anything it is nothing but a great reminder to savor every day because if you blink, your babies are grown and out the door to college before you realize it.  After this year, it will only be two very short years and the girls will be off to school themselves and I just might have to be committed! I did make the boys pose for the most embarassing thing ever, the first day of school picture!
