~ As we pulled away from Gigi and Poppi's on Sunday, Landrie said "Oh Mommy, I so fun Gigipoppi's house!" Meaning she had so much fun at their house that day. Not long after this, we passed by one of the church's near their house that is a rather large church with all the peaks and towers. Since we are in full blown princess mode around here, Landrie screamed at the top of her lungs "Mommy, Cella's castle! Cella's castle!" She thought it was Cinderella's castle! When I told her that is was a castle, but it was God's castle, she said "No Mommy no God's castle, my castle!" We have also entered the possesive/everything is mine stage around here too!
~ When I got Ella out of her booster seat the other night, I said "Alright Ella belle, let's get you cleaned up." I don't know if a light went off in her head or what, but she said "Oh my name Ella Mommy? I Ella?" She obviously knows her name since she answers to it, but maybe she just realized that it was her name and hers only. I said "Yes, Ella is your name. And this is Landrie and that is her name." Well this just started a chain reaction that lasted for about 10 minutes because Ella said "What your name Mommy? What Daddy name is? What bubba name is? What Gigipoppi name?" Her little voice is so cute and hearing her ask what everyone's name was was just too cute for words!
~Whenever we watch Cinderella (which seems to be about 20 times a day!) the girls get super excited when they see Prince Charming and they yell "Daddy! Theres Daddy is!" I thought is was funny because he looks nothing like their Daddy, but then my Mom and I decided that it was because they never really say his name in the movie and obviously their Daddy is the most important man in their little lives. I think it is so cute because don't all little girls think that their Daddy is their very own Prince Charming?!
~ Both girls refer to any item of food that is colorful or has sprinkles or decorations of some sort as "happy cakes." Apparently they think that all desserts are birthday cakes and they frequently ask for "happy cakes" instead of whatever it is they are eating. I don't blame them though, they obviously have inherited their Momma's sweet tooth.
~ Ella's new favorite phrase is "Oh my gosh" but she pronounces it "OHMAGOSH!" She exclaims it all the time, especially when she sees something that she loves. Example: When we were at Hobby Lobby last week Ella was in the middle of a tired meltdown and was really whiny and wanting to be held. In the midst of a cry, she exclaimed "OHMAGOSH look ata lights!" I had walked down the lamp isle and apparently she liked what she saw. I need to remember this for the next time we are there and she needs an attitude adjustment!
~ If you remember, I had to place the
~ Landrie has had a little bit of a cold recently and has some sniffles and a cough. Anytime she coughs, Ella says "Oh sissy, oh you ok?" And if Landrie is done coughing, she replies with "yes sissia, I ok now." Cute right? Well the other day Ella asked if her Sissy was ok and when Landrie kept coughing, Ella ran and grabbed Landrie's blankie and covered her up. She then came and asked me for some milk and instead of keeping it for herself, she took the milk and gave it to Landrie. Landrie said "ga-goo" aka "thank you" and Ella went right back to playing with her toys. It was one of the cutest exchanges I've ever seen with them!
~ Finally, in a drastic turn from the previous story, the girls had this little exchange. We were in Target and it was not a great day for Landrie. She is pretty cranky when she is sick and was just being down right hard-headed. Ella was having a lovely time sitting in the cart and playing with something or other and passed gas. Ella exclaimed "Oh Ella tooted!" and laughed. Well Landrie didn't like this for some reason or another and said "No, I farted!" And Ella responded with "No, I Farted!" You can see where this is going, right? Here I was in the middle of Target with my two adorably dressed little girls, screaming and arguing about who farted. I guess it is inevitable since they are growing up in a house with a bunch of boys!
And last but not least, since posts are more fun with pictures, here is a random one:
