I Am A Grandparent

Yes, you are reading the title correctly, I am a Grandma...to twin girls. Even though my granddaughters don't have names (unless you consider "ze bebe" a name), or beating hearts or even the ability to cry, they are indeed my first real grandchildren. Who is the mother of these little grand blessings? Well this little blessing of course

Landrie has decided that these two babies that Aunt Susan got for the girls are hers and has basically kidnapped the one doll that belonged to Ella. In all fairness, I should point out that both girls are just a little jaded when it comes to babies/stuffed animals because it appears that they think everything comes in twos. Regardless of what lovie they decide to hang on to for the day, they always find the match and it is their treasure. Anyways, back to my grandbabies, you know us Grandma's just love nothing more than to dote! It has been very interesting to watch Landrie be a Mommy. She definitely mimics the things that we do and did with her and her sister...like propping her babies up on pillows...

and laying them side by side to adjust their blankies...

and smothering them (this is a trait that is specific to Landrie)...

and staring at them for hours on end (this does come form us)...

and she even makes them give each other kisses, just like we do with her and her sister!

Speaking of her sister, here is the proud Aunt Ella...doesn't she just look thrilled?!

She hasn't yet held her nieces and has shown just about as much interest in them as she shows in playing with their Mommy. But, nothing is going to wipe the smile off of this Mommy's face

because she loves her babies more than she can say...even if half of her hair accessories are missing and she is wearing something that she just threw on. I guess she learned that from her own Mommy!
