Last Thursday the boys and I woke up to some ginormous snowflakes falling from the sky. It was 7:15 in the morning, there was already over an inch of snow of the ground and there was no sign that it was going to slow down anytime soon. I lived in St. Louis most my life, so I saw my fair share of great snowfalls, but I have to say that this was probably the prettiest snow that I had ever seen! The snowflakes looked like white feathers falling from the sky. The boys were obviously off of school because if the sky even sneezes a snowflake, school is canceled. After breakfast, we all bundled up and headed over to a field to play. The girls were so cute and not quite sure what to think about all the fluffy white stuff. Ella squealed with delight when the snowflakes hit her face and Landrie ran around looking a little disgruntled with the cold wet stuff hitting her eyes. She was just about done when Daddy showed her that she could actually eat the snow and then it was all over, she was in heaven. Leave it to eating to make Landrie enjoy herself! It finally stopped snowing at 3:00 am, which means that it snowed for 24 hrs straight and produced over 12 inches of snow! The boys were off of school again Friday, so there was more playing outside for them while the girls and I stayed inside to try and keep the house clean...the Wilson's were coming to visit after all! (more on that later) For now, here are some pics of the day we experienced Snowmageddon!

They would've sat and looked out the windows all day if I let them...these windows are by our stairs though so they don't get free reign in that part of the house!

Texas gloves a.k.a socks

Ella followed Bubba around to learn how to make a snowman

Daddy stuck Landrie on a giant snowball...

and then quickly rescued his princess!

After we came back in...revealing some of their layers and watching Daddy build something for them outside...

their very own "noeee" (snowman for those who don't speak Landrie!)
The picture above was taken around 9:30 am and it didn't stop snowing for another 17 hrs! Here are a couple of pics that I snapped around 10:00 pm

It's hard to tell, but the snow had completely sunken in our boat cover which is usually right under the speakers on the tower!
Whew! That was a long post! If you made it through all of that, maybe you will want to come back tomorrow to see some pics of some roly poly goodness in the form of a fat baby!
