Uncle Jy-Jy the Firefighter

Hi friends and family, it's Ella and Landrie taking over our blog again. Mommy let us use her computer for a very special post. We wanted to let everyone know that we are so proud of our Uncle Jy-Jy. After saying for his whole whole life that he wanted to be a firefighter when he grew up, he finally became one! We don't really know that he is so grown up (hahaha!) but he sure is a firefighter. A couple of weeks ago his fire academy had a very special friends and family night. This was where we got to go and watch Jy-Jy put out all sorts of fires with his firefighter friends. We got a little scared when he was putting the car fire out because it was really loud and really hot! Jy-Jy got to be the guy at the front of the hose though, so we really got to see him in action!

After the car fire, we got to watch the guys put out a propane fire. It was really crazy how long it took them to put it out but the captain said it was because propane fires are super duper hot! The firemen had to be completely in sync with their steps and the timing in putting the fire out and it was neat to watch them work together.

We also got to watch as Jy-Jy was the first man in a building that was on fire to make sure that it was safe for the rest of the guys. We couldn't be in the building of course, so we got to watch the live video from these super cool infrared cameras that were attached to the guys helmets. We liked seeing the firefighters pull up to the building in their firetruck because it was big and shiny. I mean we are girls after all, we like our shiny stuff! Mommy tried to get a picture of us with our bubbas and Jy-Jy but it was kinda crazy. Landrie was acting like her normal crazy self and our bubbas think they are too cool to smile. Either way, Mommy snapped the picture!

It was really fun to get to see Jy-Jy and all his buddies in action and we are happy to have an Uncle that loves what he does so much! Plus, we think he makes a pretty cute fireman!

This past Thursday, Uncle Jy-Jy actually graduated from the academy. Mommy and Daddy didn't take us because they thought that we would be a distraction or something and we are still trying to figure out why! Our bubbas had football practice so they didn't get to go either, but we were thinking about our Jy-Jy all night. Mommy said that the chiefs from different fire departments played the bagpipes and that there was a cool slide show. Mommy said it was an awesome graduation because it was short and sweet and such a proud moment. Mommy was sure to take pictures for us since we couldn't be there and we think you might like to see them since you didn't get to go either!

We hope you had as much fun with our blog take over as we had, hopefully Mommy will let us do it more often!
