Hey Guys~ We have some friends that live down in New Braunfels and they are in need of all the prayers that they can get. They are very, very sweet people and were some of the first people we met when we moved down there. Dec. 15 2008, 9 days before the birth of their first child together, a brain tumor was found in Mr. F's head. Dr.'s operated the next day and got out all that they could. Mr. F went home to recover and prepare for the next phase of ridding his brain of this cancer. In his dreary state, Mr. F could not attend the birth of his son, thank God they had plenty of family around to go with Mrs. F. Their perfect baby boy was born on Christmas eve and is doing beautifully. Fast forward to last Fri., Mr. and Mrs. F met with Dr.s at MD Anderson in Houston. They got some more bad news that they weren't expecting. Originally, the Dr.s thought that there was only a little bit of cancerous tissue left around where the tumor had been. Well, after reviewing the MRI results further, it was discovered that the tumor had grown and fingered off to the other side of Mr.F's brain. Basically, this is inoperable, so chemo is his only option. Dr's fear that radiation would be too much for his quality of life at this point. Dr.'s are going to re-evaluate things in 6 mos and see how the cancer is responding to chemo. But, Dr.s have said that they fear the cancer will return with in 2-8 yrs and be more vigorous and fast growing than this first time. They have given Mr. F a life expectancy of 5-10 yrs. So, no matter what you believe in or what God you may pray to, please, please, please keep this family in your prayers! Mr. F has a group of wonderful friends, 4 awesome children and a wife that is so, so strong. They have put their life in God's hands and amaze me with the faith and strength that they are showing right now. So, pray that God has more of a life planned for Mr. F than what Dr.s are predicting. Pray that he and his family can keep up their strength and faith that they have shown thus far. Pray that no matter what God has in store, that this family cherishes every moment they have together no matter how long that may be. Thank you so much!
